Janice's displays a wide range of styles, techniques, and media. Janice changes the subject matter regularly for challenge and excitement. Janice's driving obsession and burning desire has always been to improve with each painting and enjoy every minute as she progresses.

After 30+ years in the interior design business, Janice decided that she still harbored her desire to be an artist and painter and forced herself to devote some time to this strong passion. In 2003, she enrolled in a fine art workshop via renowned artist William Kalwick. In 2004, she enrolled for further art training with Bruce Williamson. She has studied with many of the finest artists in America and a few internationally known artists covering several areas of specialization. Through her art studies, Janice has captured some of each of these varied talents and has worked them into her own style.

Awards & Recognition

Janice enjoys seeing and learning the different styles and techniques of each of these instructors, and she plans to continue her studies for years to come in hopes of improving her own capabilities with this newly acquired knowledge. She has been fortunate to win many honors in shows both in and out of Houston including several 1st place and several 'Best of Show' artist awards. Recently, Janice placed 1st place in Oil/Professional catagory as well as 3rd place in Professional Portraits at the HCAA 2009 Greater Open Show on October 29, 2009.
